Theatre credits include: Peter Pan (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre); Othello (English Touring theatre & Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory); Berlin Kabaret (Brighton Fringe & Soho Theatre); Hamlet (STF); All's Well that Ends Well (STF); Bardo (The Bare Project); Romeo & Juliet (Lord Chamberlain's Men); Richard III (STF); King Lear (STF); and Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (Shaw Theatre).

John has also worked extensively as a stage fighter and Fight Director.

Fight Directing credits include: The Grinning Man (Trafalgar Studios & Bristol Old Vic); Henry V; Othello; Hamlet; Richard III and King Lear (STF).

Associate Fight Director credits include: King Lear (Duke of York's) and Peter Pan (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre).
